Managing Director
Lee M. Gerkin, Managing Director, has over thirty years of experience in investment banking. Mr. Gerkin began his career at New York based Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) in their Merchant Banking Group. Mr. Gerkin was subsequently transferred to Madrid to establish a Corporate Finance Group for the bank. He later returned to New York to join Lazard Freres International Division as a Vice President. After three years, Mr. Gerkin joined James Capel (now HSBC Investment Banking) as Deputy Head of Corporate Finance and also started the Equity Capital Markets Group which lead managed over twenty IPOs.
Mr. Gerkin joined Smith Barney in 1995 as Managing Director and Group Head for Latin American Investment Banking. During the time that Mr. Gerkin was the Latin American Group Head, Smith Barney ranked as a leading firm in both equity capital markets and financial advisory in Latin America.
At Chatsworth, Mr. Gerkin has been responsible for a broad range of financial advisory transactions including M&A, IPOs, restructuring, securitization, and raising both debt and private equity financing. Mr. Gerkin has a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law.
