Managing Director
Peter L. Swanson, Managing Director, has over twenty years of business experience in the financial services industry. Working from San Francisco, Mr. Swanson focuses on private fund placements to institutional investors, and has long-standing relationships with investors west of the Mississippi. His wide-ranging institutional relationships extend from consultants, family offices, endowment & foundations, to pension funds.
For over fifteen years, Mr. Swanson has worked on behalf of a wide variety of investment strategies in venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, real estate, credit, distressed debt, and insurance. Investment managers have been based in the US, Asia, Australia, Canada, Britain, and Europe.
Before joining Chatsworth in 2010, Mr. Swanson was Managing Director at Touchstone Group, a New York-based fund placement advisory, where he worked raising institutional capital for alternative strategies in the western US. Prior to that, Mr. Swanson worked in Boston at the investment firms Advent International, Zero Stage Capital, and Scott, Eveleigh.
Mr. Swanson has an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and a BA from Carleton College.
